Meet Clara & Laura

Body Flow Physical Therapy is a mother and daughters operated business. Following the know how of Clara Velosa, Laura and her sisters have now joined their mother in growing and developing her newest project yet. 

Mrs. Velosa is originally from Cali, Colombia. In 1978 she co-founded and directed New Horizons Club, a sports club for the handicapped. She received her Swimming Instructor Certification in 1980 from El Valle Swimming League and in the same year, went on to be the Official Swimming Private Instructor for Colombia at the Para Olympics celebrated in Arhnem, Netherlands. The team obtained the Gold Medal and broke the Para Olympic record.

In 1981 she received a certification from the Gerontology and Geriatrics Colombian Association in Bogota, Colombia. In 1982, while pursuing her degree as a physical therapist, she served as a technical consultant for the Colombian Federation of Sports. She received her Registered Physical Therapist degree at the University of El valle in Cali, Colombia in 1984.

From 1985-1990 Mrs. Velosa founded and directed Physiogym, an outpatient clinic for Orthopedics, Neurological cases, Lamaze Classes, Newborn stimulation programs, Gymnastics for the elderly and sports for the handicapped.

Mrs. Velosa moved with her family to the United States in 1991 to pursue her passion for Phyiscal therapy. Mrs. Velosa developed her carrier as a faculty, professor for PTA program, in two colleges in Miami area. She has founded 3 rehabilitation companies through out the state of Florida.

Mrs. Velosa has been recognized by Empire with the ‘Who is Who’ awards as the Professional of the year in the area of Physical Therapy. She also received from the National Congressional Committee the recognition as Business Woman of the Year for the state of Florida. She was a fellow at the National Congressional Committee business advisory council.

Today Mrs. Velosa is committed to the rehabilitation and well being of her patients through her corporation Body Flow.

Her hobbies include aquatics, Tai Chi, and spending time with her family.
